I cannot begin to describe how good their food is. Came with a big party for lunch Thursday around 12:30pm there were 9 of us we were seated at two booths with an extra chair on one. Service was kinda slow but expected when they are busy. Server was very friendly. I ordered the cilantro shrimp. It came with brown rice (which was some of my favorite I've had anywhere, it was the butter!) and Cole slaw but I got the broccoli instead, their broccoli is the best with the seasoning!) the shrimp were flavored nicely, not too spicy, and big too! Actually the whole dish was huge! Others liked their meals as well and I think they have the best ahi tuna in Jacksonville. Will definitely come back!

Amazing steak, service and chocolate cake! Steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare), Mac and cheese was very cheesy and flavorful and their chocolate cake with ice cream was to die for. So decadent but not too sweet. I forgot to take a pic because we drove right in. They have a limited dessert menu but I've had their carrot cake before and that was also delicious! Everything was paired well with a glass of Cabernet. I love coming here during the holidays! Clean and beautiful interior and attentive staff.

Came here to celebrate my birthday as I was finding a restaurant that is "fine dining" or "causal dining" as well also affordable for my guest as well. The reservation was place a couple days before my birthday and upon arrival table wasn't set as well need half of the party to be there to be able to go to the table. The lightning of the place is great intimate. Our server was great as well helpful. The food on the other hand for me was mediocre for me. We started off with The chef daily soup which was okay nothing special really. Just a creamy version of a chicken noodle soup. Tuna and chip ( not sure if that's the name ) - wasn't a big fan of it honestly but my guests enjoyed it And then for the main course I had the steak and fries but I substituted the fries for coleslaws which the coleslaw was pretty decent just wish it wasn't so dry. As for the steak was cook well but didn't had any flavor. My guests enjoyed their meal which I'm grateful for. Overall the experience was great, I'll definitely try it again but avoid the steak for sure.

Service- 10/10, already had a full glass, always had someone coming by our table, no complaints. Food- 10/10, Crab cakes were AMAZING and full of crab meat. Asked to sub mac n cheese for the fries and was not disappointed. Hubby said burger was cooked perfect. Ambience- 10/10, we sat on their covered patio. Perfect amount of light and sound. Was sat right away at 530pm on a Saturday. May consider reservation if wanting to eat inside!

Easy parking in the town center parking lot. We went during peak hours and the passing spot was 2 minute walk away. We had no reservations and had a 5 minute wait to be seated in booths facing the bar which was reasonable. The ambience was pleasant with some background noise from all the patrons' chatter. We ordered the grilled artichokes which was fantastic. We tried the crab cakes which were fresh and delicious. The baby back ribs with Mac and cheese and coleslaw was enjoyable too. They had a wide variety of adult beverages so I selected a mojito which was well made

Came for Sunday lunch so it wasn't too busy and we were seated and waited on immediately. Staff was very friendly and service was good. The ambiance was nice inside, nothing to really look out at with the windows facing the sidewalk. I like that they offered a homemade veggie burger, it was really good. The not your average mac and cheese is very sharp, if you like sharp cheese you'll enjoy it, it was just too sharp for me so I wouldn't get that again.

I hadn't been to J. Alexander's in about 5 years but they did not disappoint. I usually struggle with finding tasty veggie options due to be vegetarian - but their Veggie Burger was sooooo good. I could taste all of the seasonings and could tell it wasn't just your typical frozen burger. The patty was huge and had bits of rice, broccoli and many other goodies. I normally do not eat left overs but I ate this burger the next day on 2 separate occasions. I was feeling greedy and ordered a side of mac and cheese and it was also on point. It had been in the oven so the crunchy edges were perfection. The crab cakes were rated 10/10 and said to have an amazing flavor blend also. I loved that everything was piping hot and made to order. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive to our table the entire time. The restaurant was pretty dark but I actually like this because it felt more intimate to me. Overall this was a great experience and I'm confident that anything on their menu would be exceptional.

Was in the area and really wanted a great steak that I knew was packed with flavor. So I had to stop here for dinner, I wanted to do take out since I was just so exhausted. The food was just as great when I ordered take out, I was Abel to order the filet mignon butterfly with a side j Alexander side which is my absolute favorite fav this side salad is 6 buck up charge but well worth it. I was Abel to order the chocolate Bundt cake, which came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was just okay in my opinion. My total came to 70 bucks. The only thing that wasn't so great was the location wasn't convenient while it's raining. There are two sides for valet however I could not find curb side parking. There was a sign out there that said carry out parking however it was very far walk due to the rain. when ordering take out just be mindful it is legit take out I don't believe they have curb side but I might have missed it.

Recently came here for a team dinner after some work events we had. I had "steak n fries" - cooked medium rare. They did a good job and it was well flavored. Fries were fantastic. Perfect amount of crispy for me! I also did sample a coworkers loaded baked potato. That was also good. I had previously reviewed both the pear martini and the sparkling rose martinis - and that review still stands. Excellent drinks! The service was also wonderful. We came last minute with a fairly large party (8) and they easily accommodated us outside (per our request). We were near a fireplace - which I think would be great if it was cold (it wasn't on - just mentioning if you go during cooler weather).

We had dinner here this evening while on a shopping trip to the Town Center. Let me start by saying we do not typically eat at chain restaurants, so this is not a normal stop for us. The first trip was about a month ago. What we like is the atmosphere, the service and it is close to the shops we frequent when shopping. They do have a nice menu but the bummer is the lack of fresh seafood (wild caught not farm raised options as the seafood of the day) and the lack of vegetarian entree options. I struggled to find something to eat. We started with the spinach queso which we also enjoyed last time and it was good. They should serve more chips as the chips run out way before the queso. Tonight, I had a baked potato for my entree and the hubby had a cheeseburger with fries. The potato was good and large. Hubby liked the burger but said it had way too much mustard on the bun. He liked his French Fries a lot. We had wine and beer and enjoyed it all. This could be a great spot with a few tweaks to the menu. Worth checking out if in the area.
